"ABSOLUTE REALITY"

FACING GOD one day is an absolute reality. We should prepare for it, make arrangements so we are ready when it happens. Our Faith should tell us that our behavior, our habits, our manners, our ideals, our values, our standards, our morals, our purity, will have to be accounted for at this time. Family life can be a great means to becoming a Saint. First, it entails all areas of self-control, self-discipline, with many areas for acts of charity, acts of self-denial, acts of sacrifice, and opportunities for sound moral values, sound moral standards, and good example. Family life can be the foundation to give God many Saints. It is never too late to start. It is never too late to change the pattern that a family has begun in their action of Faith in God. "STATUES ARE NEEDED"

Statues of Saints are important; they remind us we must strive for Sainthood. They also show us that people just like us became Saints, people just like us walked before us with problems similar to ours, with dedication, commitment and love, giving their lives a Goal. Statues of The Saints give man stability, in that the presence of these statues are great aids for man to avoid distraction while praying. They do not replace the dignity of prayer, but help man to concentrate. Man does not pray to the statue, but uses the statue for a more devout prayer.

"A BEGINNING OF A PROMISE"

Though Lent infers and even radiates a great unhappy event, we must look at Lent as a time when we make great effort to concentrate on God, working to show Him how thankful we are for what Lent truly means. Lent is a time to imitate Our Lord in acts of sacrifice, self-denial, using these things for the good of our Soul. So little emphasis has been placed on sin that men have become immune to seeing the wrong in temptation, immoral actions, indecencies, impurities. In Sodom and Gomorrah men did not just ignore good, but defied good with evil living. People became totally enveloped in sin, totally attracted to participating in acts and actions that were vile to a pure way of life. Are your sins like leprosy, worn openly, through your actions, your mood, your personality, your nature, your attitude, your habits? At what point are they contagious? At what point, if others were to see them as spots all over you, would they run from you? Not one day goes by that we do not commit at least one sin. There is so much tolerance to mans nature, mans needs, mans ego, mans weaknesses, that sin gathers much color because it is accepted in the light of all behavior patterns, methods, conditions and environment. "GOSSIP"

Gossip is never right or without sin. Gossip usually bears a certain amount of criticism and opinion, degrading to the subject or topic of discussion, that belittles, is deceitful, or creates an air of unsureness in regard to the character, the behavior, the fidelity, the dignity or the integrity of the person, place or thing. Gossip kills the morale of anyone who partakes in it or is the victim of it. Gossip can become a habit based on jealousy, ego, immaturity, cunningness and irresponsibility.

"HOMOSEXUALITY"

Homosexuality is not justifiable because men want to accept it. This does not make it right in the Eyes of God. Homosexuality caters to an unhealthy way of life, averting ones own responsibilities to a manner of life that eliminates the family standard set by God Himself for the privilege of procreation of life. Those involved in homosexuality are striving to rationalize their unstable, irresponsible acceptance of how they want to live with other people. There are many traps where pornography is concerned. The traps are not obvious until it is too late. They can be considered briar patches of curiosity, or carelessness in moral standards and values. Pornography is available in many types, areas, forms and degrees. Whether it is hard pornography or the suggestion of it, it bears diabolical pursuit to draw man from decency into indecency.
