“Charity has many variables in its intentions. Sometimes a person is not totally conscious of the degree or the reason they perform charitable acts.
Sometimes someone becomes so involved in acting charitable for someone else’s needs, totally unaware that they themselves have a need in their own life, and through this act of charity this is one manner of satisfying some inner need they themselves have.
Many people are salaried employees, working for charitable organizations merely for monetary gain.
Some people do charitable acts to gain entrance into situations or people’s lives that they feel are stepping stones to some advantages, such as meeting people that might possibly be beneficial to them monetarily, or for introductions to other people.
Some people use charity to others because of a curiosity within themselves regarding how other people live, how other people solve their obstacles, problems and/or tragic events.
Real charity is done without any thought of one’s self gaining anything from the time, the work, or the gift, money or otherwise, to help someone in need.
Few people see charity in its real concept of when it is needed, the reasons for which it is needed, and the beneficial results that particular types of charity produce.
Ask yourself:
‘How do I look at Charity?
Do I respond when charity is needed?
How would I describe my acts of charity?’”
