“There are so many books on the market today that are personal stories, some considered great ways to lose weight, books on intimate relationships, and many books downright immoral.
What happened to good literature, historical novels that had substance, classic stories that revealed the lives of people in interesting settings, plus interesting dialogue, plus interesting backgrounds for the stories?
Today we have so much garbage in every field of writing. Subjects that are debasing to human life are accepted as ‘great’. Subjects of very little or no substance are big sellers.
What ever happened to reprints on the Lives of the Saints? Why is there so little on sound Spiritual instruction? Why is pornography acceptable to so many supposedly nice people?
The real answer is that society has accepted all the lowest forms of entertainment in all fields of humanism. The truth is, that most animals are cleaner living than people. What a terrible reality!
Television has so much to offer all people, but it is also draining people of the beautiful normal act of communication in families, between friends, and this is being replaced through television, by so much peeking into the immoral writings and acting them out, called ‘entertainment’.
Entertainment should be an expression of a God-given talent, to express Gifts of acting, music, dancing, story telling, that lifts the human existence to reach a higher elevation to imitate or desire, and rise to attain it.
Somehow, somewhere, in some way, if Christians would all see the sacrilege to human dignity that is being forced down our throats, called ‘entertainment’, perhaps those who are making so much money off of immoral suggestive garbage, filled with deceit, adultery, slander, lies, stealing, would have to swing the pendulum or accept poverty.
The full meaning of God’s Ten Commandments should be scattered to all corners of the earth. After all, if God’s Ten Commandments had the power to exist for three thousand years, even though man made Them so concise, wouldn’t it be logical that if They were to be expressed, taught and understood in Their fullest, people would have to change? After all, greed to get in on a good thing is innate in many people, but also, most people want to get in on a good thing.
What could be better than God’s Ten Commandments awakening man to getting in on the unlimited means, meanings, connected to these Ten Commandments, allowing so many doors to open to broaden man’s understanding of God’s Purpose for life, God’s Reasoning behind each Commandment, and how God Intended His Commandments to elevate man’s mind, abilities, capabilities, to higher degrees of human understanding?”
