“What type of armor do you wear to protect your principles?
What kind of armor do you use to resist temptations?
Are you aware of the fact that you need some type of armor to battle the obstacles you encounter in every decision you make that entails your personal sound moral values and sound moral standards?
What type of armor do you see supports others’ good opinion of you?
The early Christians didn’t bear weapons against the enemy, and the armor worn by the Christians, by some people’s standards, would not be considered armor, but it was for them in their time, and that was their Faith in the Messiah. We too, in having Faith in God, have a powerful armor against evil, immorality.
Ask yourself, ‘How can my Faith in God be developed to such a degree that my armor against sacrilege, immorality, shows in my moral code of ethics, in my prayer practices, in my example?’
There are additional types of armor in our day that support our Faith in God, and we express them through:
What we wear openly, in our clothing and in our facial expressions.
Our courage through difficult times in the face of disappointments under obstacles.
Our stability in the handling of our responsibilities.
Our logic in determinations that involve little decisions or important decisions.
Our integrity in how we deal with those with whom we share information, personal or business.
Our example, covering our moral standards and values, showing our true code of ethics.
Our fairness in decisions, understanding and disagreements.
Our speech in everything we say, everything we uphold in what we say.
Our charity, through our words, our deeds and our actions.
Our personal attitude that shows our strength in character, strength in humility.
Our cleanliness, demonstrated by our pure thoughts and our show of personal cleanliness in our appearance.
Our kindness when it is needed rather than criticism that would be more of what the situation would call for.
Our self-control.
Our self-discipline.”
