"BALANCE"

“We are surrounded by balance in the universe, upon the earth, in all living things upon the earth, and in our understanding that there must always be balance in how we live, and in our mental, physical and Spiritual welfare.

Balance to our physical life is important in how we take care of our bodies, what we eat, how much exercise we indulge in, and how much care we take in our personal habits.

We understand that our mental outlook must be positive, and we must use our intellect to further our abilities and capabilities, to express our talents, and to develop our values and standards so that balance is always evident in our mental outlook on all things.

Our Spiritual life must also have balance in its daily regime. In answering someone who might say, ‘How can one reach a balance in Spiritual regime?’ it would be only logical to inform the person that to live by God’s Ten Commandments would be the first step in fulfilling balance in a Spiritual regime. Then, to address each avenue for more Spiritual growth, it would be suggested that there be more understanding of prayer, recognize the necessity of prayer, and the purpose for prayer to be integrated with more knowledge of sound Spiritual advice that has been handed down through time by well-balanced writings written by spiritually strong people.

As Roman Catholics, we should not stop at this point of understanding what is involved in Holy Mother Church. To have a sound balance to what one is a part of, it would be wise for many Roman Catholics to read about Church History, and also read the Encyclicals, plus be up on Canon Law.

To just be a member of Holy Mother Church is enough spiritually for some people, and there is no doubt that simple Faith balanced by the practice of this Faith, can not only encourage one to become a Saint, but it can be accomplished.

Some Roman Catholics need more depth of understanding to create a balance in their Spiritual growth, so they should be encouraged to look into the structure and laws governing the structure of Roman Catholicism.

When one is blind physically, it is said that the other senses become much more alert, much more sensitive, and that these people cultivate many things that sighted people do not realize, or are not aware of in many areas. So it is with our Spiritual life. Not knowing all there is to know about Holy Mother Church can, and many times does give some people more insight, more sensitivity to God. Then there are those who feel they must have more knowledge, so they should research it, apply themselves, and do it in a way and a manner to help them grow spiritually, and not only to learn more but to enrich what they already have so that balance is felt by them, so they do not have to go out and listen to what all other self-made evangelists are dramatizing, speculating on, and using to encourage belief in them instead of belief in God.”
