“How would you describe your own degree of ethics, how you apply them, and what you base them on?
Many times people feel they want to deal with an ethical person, because they believe that one who has ethics is fair, just, sound, moral, and will be strong in the right convictions and decisions.
All through time mankind has seen obvious ethical actions, words and example from individuals who obviously showed they were ethical through their sound example, or their speech on particular subjects.
Many times men do not look at themselves through the eyes of other people, so they do not concentrate on the possibility of their own ethics being a bit unethical. Today, before the day is done and tomorrow comes, the word ‘ethical’ should be an important issue regarding one’s own self.
First of all, in examining one’s conscience, ask yourself: Are you ethical with your dealings with God? Are you loyal to Him?
Secondly: Are you ethical in your own home with those who love you, and with those you feel you love?
Thirdly: Are you ethical in business or your vocation in life?
It is important that we look at this part of our lives and determine in all fairness how we would judge ourselves, how others would judge us, and most certainly, how God will judge us according to our ethics.”
