“Music has and had a place in all decades of time. Men, women and children have been attracted to, participated in, and have used music as a means and a measure of activity, of a social participation, and monetary gain. Music automatically sets the mood of one person or many people. Music tends to elaborate upon times of expression denoting drama, particular occasions, social involvement, and personal entertainment.
Music is a talent of many people, granting them the ability to entertain in some form of music, to write music, and/or to utilize music expressing the culture of their background.
Music can be described as an unlimited source of sounds, motivating people of all kinds to think, to act and to demonstrate many moods, many ideas, some with heroic ideals, some with lewd motives, some to relax the mind and the body, and some to stimulate patriotism, some to encourage Spiritual concentration.
Music has charm, music is universal, music is agreeable or disagreeable to the listener. Music has an extreme effect on human life. Music is the result of men, women and children performing some form to allow the sounds to be heard or the music to be read. Man is the instrument, perpetuator, through which, by which, from which, with which, music is brought about.
Music emphasizes solemnity, courage, strength, purpose, serious moods, dramatic moments, romantic moods, wild uninhibited gyrations, and is many times used to encourage sinfulness.
Music is a very important part of our lives, and we must never forget the importance of these sounds of music we allow ourselves to be subjected to frequently. Music is creative, and its very creativity enters our lives in some form daily.
Be ever conscious of this instrument that has so much effect on our lives, and never forget there is a special music directed to God alone, that in itself is a prayer to Him, expressing our love, our hope, our respect, our loyalty, our needs, our desires, and most certainly our dedicated commitment to Him.”
