“Children must be taught the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, purity and evil, and it must be explained in terms they will understand, not be confused to act upon if and when such an occurrence arises for a decision to be made.
Children have an inner understanding of these things, but most of the time others take it for granted that when an incident occurs, it will be time enough to explain. Not so.
It is important to instill in the minds and actions of children the right way to do the physical things regarding their health, neatness, and in this learning process, it will coincide with their moral application to every part of living.
So many times one thing is emphasized so much, ignoring the fact that each part of living has within it a moral obligation, a moral act that is included in every area of daily life.
Chores, school, play, entertainment, social, all include the moral responsibilities, barring none. Remember, children are like little sponges, and they are happiest, fuller, and feel more a part of things when they know the full story, and do not have to wait for the next chapter.
Respect a child’s willingness to understand, and always remember, what a child sees, hears, learns, understands, is instilled and never really forgotten; maybe it just looks like that.”
