“Many of Us Here, Who have spoken many, many times through This Great Miracle, did not find it easy to motivate others to do the Will of The Father. Many times we found it the most difficult task in the world because of people’s moods, temperaments, anxieties, hurts, needs, intentions, their habits, their way of life, their internal feelings, and yes, their goals.
We found that to change someone’s mind, to accomplish something totally different than they had thought about, was an exhausting experience. We found that many times we would kneel by our bedside, or kneel on a floor that was not too comfortable, and we would rather be standing someplace else because the floor hurt so bad, but we knew that we had to pray at that moment, for in sincerity and honesty to our Soul, we felt that it was time to make reparation for our thoughts.
Life was never as easy as the books say. When you read a story about Any of Us, you will find that sometimes people gathered what was interesting to them. People did not always see what was a tremendous hardship for us.
We stood upon the earth, and there were times of great need that we had to almost visibly step off of the earth, and then to get back it seemed like a larger step; but, on the other hand, there were times that as we stepped off into that other area of life, when only God’s Will forced us to do certain things, to step back into the world or on the world, whichever way you want to put it, was a big decision to make. To face mankind on mankind’s terms is not always easy.
We were not comforted by special admiration saying, ‘You did a good job now, child; you did right.’ We were not complimented by Heaven. All we knew was that we had to make the step.
There were times when hunger came, there were times when we were so exhausted after a day’s work, but it came time for prayers and there was no question, nor was there a desire to not say those prayers, in spite of the tiredness, for the prayers gave strength, the prayers gave hope, energy, to see us to the next day where our routine was repetitive, our silence deafening, our friendships with each other a bond difficult to explain, but to the outside world, they would look at us as though we were not of this planet.
I am Saint Teresa of Avila. This Miracle has come to the world to instruct, to correct, to improve, and to give all children of all races, all colors, all creeds, the opportunity to recognize within themselves the Purpose of the human life, to recognize the opportunities that God has given to the world through His Commandments, through That Portion of Him, The Son, through the Beauty of Sacrifice in the Name of Hope and Love.
There are so many things for you to take into consideration as you face each day. There are so many things that a little effort will make big things happen. There are so many times that when you motivate others to participate, you motivate yourself to do more.
There were so many times in the convent, when things were very low, our spirits were down, someone who was allowed to speak would say something to motivate, to inspire the rest of us to feel good about the way we were, to feel good about the way we walked, to feel good about the hope of tomorrow, to feel successful instead of to feel failure, to see the light of day and not be so engrossed in the dark of the night.
We found in each other’s presence a desire to please, a desire to give strength, a desire to express the necessity for all of us to walk the way we walked. There was a Purpose to our lives. There were many obstacles to our lives.
But you have the opportunity to walk, in many ways, as the Apostles walked. You have the opportunity to stand firm on what you believe in. You have the intellect to make your own decisions and you have the will to stand strong for the Soul that God gave each of you, for the Goal He intended the Soul to attain.
You are men of degrees of intelligence. You are men who are present here tonight, not because you are not tired; you are here because Something inside of you encouraged you to go to a place where other men would not bother to go. Ask yourself what this was inside of you that encouraged you on this night to make this step. You will find, My sons, it was your Soul.
During the day, do you ever think of talking to your Soul? During the day, do you make many visits with God, asking His Love in certain areas? Do you ever talk to your Soul and say: ‘If I’m going to do something wrong, for the sake of Both of Us, You and I, pull me from the danger, pull me from the temptation. I know that You will never leave me, but I realize that sometimes I forget Your Presence’?
Say this to your Soul. Become acquainted with that Very Special Part of you, the Part that reaches for The Father’s Love constantly.
Do not deny what you are, who you are, how you feel, and do not deny the fact that you had to be born for a special Reason, a particular Purpose. Thank God each day for the time He gives, and then tell Him that on tomorrow you will look forward to what He has in store for you.
Ask Him to help you motivate others to do what is good, to do what is right. Ask Him to give you the strength to have the motivation yourself to do what is good for your Soul.
You are Blessed in many ways. You are Blessed because you are here tonight, you are Blessed because it took strength to make the trip, but above all, you are Blessed for your Faith in where you were going, why you were going, and yes, the inward love that you felt in a certain way, that gave you the strength to go.
Be loved, My sons, and understand, you walk in the world, you are much a part of the world, and in this participation in worldly things, you have the right to say what you think. You have the obligation and responsibility to stand in the world and be example to all you come in contact with. You have the responsibility to stand in sound morals, for sound values, so that others may learn from you the dignity of life, the Purpose for which each child is born to the world. So be it.”
