“Before us, Many, Many Saints came upon the earth and They walked like each of us. They walked in a very physical manner. They had problems, disagreements, misunderstandings, and of course, sometimes violent lives, lives that covered many violent actions.
Some of These Saints walked as warriors. Some walked as victims. Some walked as great theologians. Some walked as heads of departments in Holy Mother Church. Some of Them realized that life was very difficult and to persevere had many problems. And of course, there were many times They would say to God: ‘God, I’m tired of living exactly as I feel You want me to. Men do not hear what I say. They criticize me, they ridicule me, and I feel like I want to walk away.’
I, Saint Alphonsus Liguori, want you to know that I, too, felt this way many days, but through This Great Miracle of Life, Light, Hope, Mercy, Justice and Love, I come to the world through an instrument, from Above, and as I do, I say to you in a very personal way: ‘Your obedience to God’s Rules, God’s Commands, are important in your day, for as you live your daily life, keep in mind at all times, that though there are problems and there is strife, you must understand that through these things you can enjoy a beautiful life. If life were all easy, all simple, all laid out for you, what would you gain and how would you gain it, for there would be no reason to live a normal life.’
Many a time, when I suffered much, I would say to The Father: ‘I cannot go on. I feel I will die before morning.’ He did not always answer me, and when I would close my eyes for a short time I would say: ‘Wait a minute, God, I don’t want to die. I want to work more because I want others to know the responsibility of life. I want to share with them the honor of life and I want to give mankind a Purpose for life.’
I say to you tonight, through a woman in the world, one that has been used thousands of times for such a Purpose; that is, to give to mankind the Reason for life, the Way of life, the Direction for life, the Purpose of life, to teach mankind how to become a Part of the Divine Life, for this is why men were born.
Do not allow anyone to destroy you for if you do, satan will win, the enemy of The Father will gain. The Father will only have sadness.
And you must understand that as you live, there is a Great Blessing constantly given to you, the Light of The Mother’s Will, the Light of The Mother’s Hope, and of course, the Light of Purity for you to walk in and be a part of all times through the day when you are alone. When you are with others, be sure that as you come into temptation in any way, say a prayer to Her. She will understand your need but She will give you the strength to respond to what is good. Sometimes you forget to call upon Her.
And I, Saint Alphonsus Liguori, want you to know She was the Salvation for me, for when trouble came I went to Her. When doubt came, I went to Her. When fear enveloped me, I went to Her. When strangers talked unkindnesses to me, I went to Her. When friendships seemed ugly, unkind, I went to Her. When my Faith seemed to be shattered, I went to Her. I stood in the Light of Her Love for me, as I want you tonight to do also, for in This Light She gave me the strength to survive.
Do not forget, My sons, that as you are man, you are Her son, and as you are Her son, She will always protect you from everything and everyone. And if you think She has not heard you, shout Her Name again, for sometimes She waits to hear you say it again and again, for then She knows you truly are not just shouting to be heard but you want Her to help you.
Oh, My sons, if you but knew the Strength and the Power of Her Will, and Her Love for you, you would walk straight, think pure, be example of all things in Her Name. Do not forget, I, too, was a man in the world. I, too, had all the problems you have. I, too, had the temptations of man. But, without Her, I could not have made it.
Tonight I want to impress upon you that as man you, too, must be in love with The Mother’s Purity and be example of It to all you know and all you meet. The Light of Heaven is yours for the asking. Sainthood is yours; just ask for It, then work for It, and you will obtain It, I promise you. So be it.”
