Saint Francis of Assisi

“My sons, My daughters, I am Saint Francis of Assisi, and I smile upon you on this night and I say, ‘You have not learned yet, the beauty of obedience, the greatness of sacrifice, and the power of penance, but I have come tonight to tell you of these things.’ First of all, keep in mind that to sacrifice means to give up, to do penance means to do, and obedience means just that.

I walked the earth daily with God on my mind, and many men acted differently towards me, for they said I was not human in my way, and they said I was so different they could not stand my way, and they said that they could not respond to God the way I did. And every day I would kneel upon my knees and say, ‘Thank You, God, for allowing me to see the need to walk this way for You.’

And you, too, must understand that God has chosen every man in a particular way, but not for great things in all ways, but sometimes for the little things; sometimes just to teach others to pray; sometimes just to kneel and be example; sometimes just to say to another child, ‘Give an act of love today, perform an act of hope for another child in your way.’ God does not expect each of you to suffer the Wounds. No, you could not. You could not stand the pain of these Wounds, but I say to you, ‘Do not forget the beauty of modesty, the power of purity, and the greatness of prayer.’

Please, My children, as you read the life that man has written about Me, keep in mind I had a personal thought about God that no man could have written, for you see, man can only see a certain part of man, man can only see a certain part of you. So keep within you, My children, a deep love for God and do not care whether any man knows the depth of it, but use it daily to perform for Him in sacrifice, in penance, in purity and modesty, obedience and love, and trust in Him.

I bless you with a Blessing on this night, and I say to each one here, ‘Do not let one day go by that you do not ask God to hold you dear, for when you do, it is humility, and so few men understand that to be humble before God is Grace-giving.’ I bless you from a Realm Far Beyond the one you know, and I say, ‘Follow God’s Will every day.’ So be it.”
