Saint Joseph

“Man is quick to determine things to his satisfaction, to his way of thinking, to what pleases him most. Instilled in him is to care for himself. Through certain means he often dedicates much time to a personal viewing of his way of life: what it should be, what it can be, what he would like it to be; but he fails to see it as it is, for to acknowledge this would be, he knows, time for certain changes. If the changes would mean greater popularity, greater material gain, more abundance of attention, he would look into things well, or perhaps welcome the chance of this happening.

Let Us now look at each one here, not in a mirror that shows only the surface, but in truth of being. Line up these questions and answer them for yourself alone.

First: In my hours today, were they all for me? Did I waste many or did I serve God to a degree?

Two: When I awoke, did I think of Him? Did I wonder or decide how I would please Him?

Three: Did I yet thank Him for today, for what I am, what I have, what I am to be?

Four: Did I make changes for the better? Did I make decisions to follow Him more steadfastly, more purely, more unselfishly, more directly?

Five: Do I desire to love only Him? Do I want to grow so in love with Him that nothing else will matter? Do I intend to submit wholly to Him? Am I on the road to complete trust in Him? Am I willing to be obedient to only Him?

Think much, My children, of these things, and work on each one soon, and then do pray much for help in changing your ways soon.

This Revelation is a Blessing, not in disguise, but in Truth, for when you look into It well, you’ll realize what growth there is yet for you. Some children scandalize the truth by laughing at its beauty, by belittling the magnitude of it, and by ignoring it as it is, truly a duty. Man expects man to reach for perfection, but nowhere does he tell him, ‘I know exactly where you can find this’; for no man really knows except to look into himself and be truthful with the answers he comes up with.

So now I say to you, ‘A Gift of Love has just been given to you.’ Return It with love. No better way to say, ‘Thank You.’ So be it.”
