Saint Alphonsus Liguori

“I am Saint Alphonsus Liguori.

The word ‘sin’ is rarely used at this time. It is a word that, at one time, drew much attention to it, because it openly stated a fact to be concerned about, to be alert to, and to question what it contained.

At this time in which there is so much spirituality being stressed by different organizations, the word ‘sin’ is rarely, if ever, mentioned. Sermons’, speeches’ subject matter are more apt to be the subject regarding what occurs in daily living, but sin or the possibility of it, is stricken from the records.

Children are not being instructed when they do something that could be termed ‘an impure’ thought, act, word or deed.

I will use a word to emphasize this situation. I do not like the word, but the word is ‘updated sophistication’; thus, not using or practicing what is termed ‘a natural sensitivity to the reality of the meaning of words’, thus allowing the words to speak what the situation really is, or consists of, or refers to.

I will close My Words at this time, but I sincerely hope that What I have spoken will alert many who read Them to be aware of the importance of how they word things, whether the words be the meaning of what they are saying, or useful to the purpose they are referring to.

Of late, many ideas have changed on the definition of how individuals word what they think, or how they feel, or also how they understand their association with those close to them, or those they meet.”
