“What is a patriot? Is he not one loyal to governmental issues and to the government, according to what you know government to be? Is he not loyal to the land, to be free? Is he not one who stands for not just intelligence, but one who stands for democracy, one who stands for all men to have a better place to live? But, is he not also one who stands, in service alone, to a place that he loves and that perhaps houses him? Is not a patriot one who sometimes is well–known for his acts of service to help other men, through a position or a place, or just where he dwells? My children, there are many, many definitions for a patriot. I have only given you but a few, and in the giving them to you, I have left a question in your mind, of many things.

Now I say, ‘If this is connected with the land where you live, a particular area of life, then what would you call one dedicated to the greater Part of life, the Spiritual Goal, that which is most important?’ I say to you: ‘Would you not call a man “a patriot”? Would you call a man “a faithful child of God”? Would you call a man something unusual, and yet have honor in it, dignity to it, and a definite meaning surrounding it so men would know what you were speaking of, when perhaps you mention the words out loud?’ If you are patriotic, you have steam. If you are faithful to God’s Love, what would you suggest it could be called?

There are so many issues this child is able to speak on. Her silence is sometimes more full than men realize, for in the silence she listens and in the listening the Lessons come, when The Father decides the time to be. I am Saint Alphonsus Liguori.

This child has been attacked much in the last days and many things that she has been attacked by could not be considered obvious or truly detrimental, but they have been, for you see, the attacks have been more than the obvious. The attacks have been on the child’s nervous system, as you know it to be. It is difficult to walk under such stress, strain, burden, and of course, the irritations developed many areas wherein the child had to plead for mercy, and The Father understood. But the things that were happening to her were insignificant and yet harmful in their own way.

I speak through her today, a very tired child, one more tired than you have ever known her to be, for the upcoming events will be difficult on her. It is not anticipation of them but humility in them that causes her distress, for she has spoken out to you her true feelings and I know that you see it differently. And the child has begged off from the whole task, but the next days are necessary, for you see, there is more to come and it is but a step in the direction, for the child’s obedience to further many things.

I will let her go now for the physical is spent, and the child has begged to be returned to where she loves it the best, but The Father’s Will must be done. So I say to you now, ‘The child also, with all these things, has been prepared in many ways to return home stronger and yet more humble, and yet she will appear sometimes with a dynamic strength.’ She will be placed on a schedule of great hardship and she knows this. Many people, when she returns, will be upset because they will think she has changed, but in reality, the change is to allow The Father’s Will to be accomplished, and the child is but a Victim Soul and has become more of a puppet to Him since her stay here in Rome.

You sons have been privileged to take charge of such a child, for her obedience is more innocent than you suspect or could possibly know. She is disturbed over My Words but she knows that the tasks ahead would be insurmountable by man, and she is aware that she will have to stand firm on so many issues that she would rather allow the children to have their own way, but it will be impossible for her to succumb to their will for the action could cause many difficulties at a later day. She will stand professional, and sometimes appear almost what you would call ‘hard core’ in her stand, accusations and decisions.

She fights the Words from Me for she knows that Each Word through her carries a weight heavier and more important than the purest gold. She says, ‘Saint Alphonsus, can you not keep this to Yourself?’ And I smile through her and I say, ‘This child is constantly asking All of Us to be silent.’ What a child The Father has chosen for such a magnificent task.

The Beloved Joseph smiles oftentimes when He sees her hiding or running away, and He says to Us, ‘There she goes again.’ So then, One of Us immediately blocks her way, turns her around, and then insists that the job be done according to Him. And she sometimes acts flip and then responds. We Here in the Heavens understand her thoroughly. She is a willful child but an obedient one. You may have difficulty with her so I am warning you ahead. She is fighting issues and is trying to use her way, which is to try to talk The Father out of what He wants her to do when it is against her liking, her nature. That is why He had to take her personality and lock it up in a Tabernacle with Him, for she always would reach out for it and then use it in her own favor.

I bless you from the Heavens and I say, ‘You are blessed to walk with such a child in your day, for even though she is light of nature, she is a warrior beyond compare, and men will have to take notice of her strength, for in the humility she stands, there is a strength and a stature always there.’ Remember this. You have noticed it and you have oftentimes wondered about it. But she, to all men, shows great strength. And those who do not like her sometimes find themselves wanting to like her. She will go back a warrior. She is a warrior here. It can never be any other way. So be it.”
